Biography - Larry Weirather

Larry Weirather of Vancouver, U.S.A., is a writer and professor emeritus of English and humanities.  He has worked as a teacher, journalist, public speaker, and technical writer. 

As one of the original members of the Popular Culture Association, he has published articles on the China Clipper and other popular culture topics in The Journal of Popular Culture, The Popular Culture Review, and The New Journalism

He has also served as an editor or writer for various air mail publications including Air Mail Northwest, The Airpost Journal, The Jack Knight Air Log, and the Bulletin of the Metropolitan Air Post Society.  His poetry, reviews, journalism, and photos have appeared in scores of publications such as Commonweal, The Mississippi Valley Review, Victorian Periodicals Review, Flyfishing,and The Faces of Poetry.  

He has twice traveled to Ireland for workshops to study with Nobel Prize winner Seamus Heaney and to donate flying boat artifacts from his collection to the Foynes Flying Boat Museum.
