1960s/1970s rock groups Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen, and Terry and the Pirates, provided the billing for this 1970 rock music poster. The poster was designed and printed by Thomas Morris. Two varieties of the poster exist. The red one advertised the Rheem Theater. A blue poster featured the groups appearing at the Fox Theater in Stockton, California. Both depicted the China Clipper superimposed on an image of cowboys pushing a herd of cattle. The two images aptly merged to combine the themes of the pioneer and Western expansion spirit.
